Crew members at a construction site in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, unearthed more than 300 cannonballs believed to be from the Civil War, a public safety official told Fox News.
"I don't believe anyone else has found cannonballs at their construction site so you know we're all obviously relatively new to this experience," FRANJO Construction Project Coordinator Nick Leonello said.
According to Fox, a company based out of Maryland that specializes in explosives handling will be removing the cannonballs over the next few days. Leonello said the likelihood of a cannonball exploding is slim, but every precaution is being made to ensure safety.
