Michael Hoffman and Phil Ewing cover Navy’s trip to the inaugural EagleBank Bowl at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. on Dec. 20 against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons
End of First Quarter: Notre Dame 7 Navy 0
Posted by Mike Hoffman on November 15th, 2008 filed in Army/Navy game

Navy’s defense is holding strong and causing turnovers, but the offense and the triple option is having trouble getting on track. Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen has started slow throwing for one pick and fumbling once. Notre Dame junior running back James Aldridge is ripping runs right through the heart of the Navy defense. He’s already run for 50 yards after one quarter on 10 carries. Notre Dame is dominating in the trenches with a much bigger offensive line.

The blocked punt remains the difference though.
