Sophomore running back Armando Allen ran 11 yards up the gut through Navy’s defensive line for a Notre Dame touchdown. Allen ran for 31 yards on the drive abusing Navy’s front line. Charlie Weis and his coaches must have seen how Notre Dame dominated on the ground in the first quarter and quarterback Jimmy Clausen has been turnover prone.
Navy sophomore quarterback Ricky Dobbs was spotted warming up on the sideline, but senior Jarod Bryant is still starting as Navy was forced to punt on their next drive. Navy might need that spark that Dobbs provides.
