Navy strikes first: Navy 7 Army 0
Posted by Mike Hoffman on December 6th, 2008 filed in Army, Army/Navy game, Military Times sites:

This is the last thing Army needed. Navy slotback Shun White just sprinted to the outside for a 65-yard touchdown on Navy’s opening drive. Meanwhile, Army got stuffed managing only a couple yards before having to punt.

Considering Navy’s run of  dominance, Army’s confidence had to be shaky to start off with and the ease Navy showed scoring couldn’t’ have helped.

  1. Unbiased observer Says:

Boomer Essiason just told us TV viewers at home that he thought the Army cadets get too “jacked up” before the game and they need to calm down when they play — he’s absolutely right. Too bad these midshipmen are such cool, professional players. Look how well they handled that bad snap and turned it into a respectable punt to get the ball out of danger.
