P.O.V. HD takes the lipstick cam to the next level

Shoving everything into a single camera body is an exercise in compromise. There’s a limit to what you can fit in a wearable camera and the only way to get high quality video with all the onboard controls and a monitor is two use a two piece system. The VIO runs a small, lipstick style camera attaches by a wire to a handheld unit with a usable monitor and processing power to spare. 1080p video at 30 FPS, or 720p at 60 FPS, with a 142 degree field of view is par for the market. But add the monitor, loop record feature, in-camera editing and a wireless remote control and is makes the wire seem like like an acceptable inconvenience instead of a deal breaker.
