Grey Ghost Gear is having a sale and blowing out product at 50% off until Jan 14th.  To get this pricing, use promotional code “extr50″ when you get to checkout.

I just ran a three day carbine course where I used their modular padded belt, which is now on sale for under $5.  Single magazine pouches (M16 mag) are right around $5.50, and triple panel pouches are on sale for under $10.  Throw in a dump pouch for under $10 and magnetic pistol pouches for under $15 and you have yourself a super cheap setup to grab and go.

We’ve reviewed the light weight assault packs and I can give them a solid recommendation.  The Lite Lock assault pack is now under $40, and that is the pack I carry in my cruiser for my emergency gear.  This is the same assault pack that I picked up as Christmas presents for friend and family (nieces and nephews got squared away this year).  The three day pack in Multicam is under $60, which means I’ll be placing my order before I post this article and they all get swiped.

Last but not least, I saw Oakley M frames under $65, and riggers belts in larger sizes so you can even gift your fat friends if you think they are worth $8.

Its not often we see deals like this come along, I’ll have my order placed before you read this.

Grey Group Training just announced their “Big F#$%ing Memorial Day Sale” and it looks effing good. The sale begins Saturday at midnight, and ends Monday at midnight.

30% Off Arc’teryx, Mountain Hardwear, and Salomon
30% Off all Footwear
40% Off RAV Cut Armor and RAV Carriers
TAD Gear Direct Action Tops for $49.95

lowa dtf Aside: We’re preparing a review of a few boots, one of which is the Lowa Zephyr Desert Mid TF. It was one of our favorites and at 30% off ($112) from GGT this weekend we’d be remiss in not pointing it out as a great buy. The boot is light, cool, quiet and as supple as a slipper in arid terrain. It’s not an alpine long-hauler, more of a beefed up sneaker. The fit is dead true, so order up a half size if you’re on the fence.

Going to Shot Show? Want a free GPS unit? Find this man on the show floor and tell him you read Gear Scout. He’ll have one Foretrex 401 to give away each day of Shot Show, from Tuesday, Jan. 19, through Friday, Jan. 22. Joe will update his Twitter feed (Stroenterprise) with his location and stalk status while the stalk is in progress. He’s agreed to cut off his mullet to make it easier for our readers to find him in the crowd. He’ll also sport a Garmin ballcap with a large safety pin stuck through the back. As far as all the legalese — this isn’t our contest. We’re just giving you a heads-up.

Not going to make it to the Vegas festival of steel and lead? You’re not left out. StrohmanEnterprise.com is running a virtual Shot Show deal on the new Foretrex 401 GPS for $179 shipped Conus/APO/FPO for military and LEOs from today through Monday, Jan. 25.

We reviewed the Foretrex 401 when it came out, and found its size, battery life, accuracy and especially its wireless route and waypoint sharing all add some hooah/hoorah/hooah/hooyah to your mission.

Heads up- Grey Group Training is two years old this week and they are celebrating as all retailers do– with a sale. Through November 21st they’re offering 10-50% off their entire range. This isn’t a way for them to dump slow moving gear. They’ve dropped prices on everything as low as they can without pissing off their suppliers or losing money.

Their prices are in-sane.

mystery-ranch-backpacks-_-acu-nice-crewcab-and-nice-frame-sale-item3It’s weird. I really thought this ACU UCP pattern would catch on. I mean if my neighbors are prancing around in Multicam bathrobes, why am I having such a hard time finding a UCP Speedo?

At least I’m not alone in overestimating the longevity of the Army’s latest fad. Mystery Ranch, like Arc’teryx last week. is selling off their stock of UCP gear beginning today.

Head over to MysteryRanch.com and stock up.
