SWAT-T Tourniquet = Lifesaver and 1/2 way to an Awesome Slingshot
March 26th, 2009 | Product Announcement | Posted by Rob Curtis

The SWAT-T Tourniquet is a simple and effective take on the tourniquet that uses a non-latex elastic band that stretches around an extremity and tucks into itself for hours of effective pressure above a wound. The shapes of graphics on the band indicate proper tourniquet pressure.
It can also act as an occlusive bandage, a pressure dressing, and as an elastic bandage. If you didn’t catch it, the name comes from the acronym stretch, wrap and tuck. The band has been applied 5000 times and used in the sub-zero temps of Antarctica and boiled in water with no strength degradation. Google it and buy a few for $8.50 a piece, that’s a lot less than a mechanical tourniquet.

TAG! U-R It!

Say you are wandering the streets of a foreign city and you get horribly maimed by a runaway taxi. You could let someone know that you have a penicillin allergy with your trusty medical alert bracelet. Or, you could be wearing UTAG’s ICE dog tags and let them know EVERYTHING.
Unconscious, so long as your rescuers have access to a PC, they can plug the USB drive in and see, emergency contact info and whatever medical history you’ve included in the pop-up application. The software will translate all your maladies into the local lingo so you can just lay there and be unresponsive as the locals call your mom to let her know you didn’t have on clean underwear.
