The chicken didn’t stand a chance. Marines from 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment cook a chicken inside a farm compound where they stayed for the night in Marjah in Afghanistan’s Helmand province Feb. 25. The Marines usual resupply was not able to reach the Marine company, and although they had not run out of supplies, they decided to butcher and cook their own meal.
