Jesse Hertzog, a medic with the 1/73 CAV, uses a DLA Haitian English Basic language Survival guide to look up a phrase so he could help a Haitian man who was injured in the January 12 earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. According to the guide, "Mwen pwal ede" translates to "I am going to help."
