Sailors muster on the flight deck of the USS Enterprise, CVN 65, as she makes her way towards Norfolk after a six-week cruise on Thursday, September 9, 2010. This was the first – and longest – cruise for many of the ship’s company as the Big E has been in the yards for two years. The Enterprise will be the first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to be decommissioned.

Sgt. Michael Frink, HHT, 1-73rd, 82nd Airborne Division, washes his blouse for the first time in a week at the international airport in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on Sunday, Jan. 24. Human showers were much harder to come by. Some of the soldiers said they felt that the living conditions in Haiti were more austere than those in Kuwait or Afghanistan.

I came across this image while searching the wires for Frontline Photos candidates this morning. While the sight of these Iranian snipers parading in ghullie suits might give a toddler nightmares, I don’t think the notoriously inaccurate AK47s they are toting do much for their image as deadly marksmen.
