Congratulatory smoke

This is another one from 2008 (and Scutro’s favorite from our trip): Lt. Col. Rick Rhyne, CO, Special Troops Battalion, 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, lights up a cigarette with a young man outside of mosque in Tikrit, Iraq on Saturday, March 15, 2008. Rhyne was speaking with the young man when he learned of the Iraqi’s wedding, scheduled for later that day.
There was a sandstorm that day, which makes the picture look like a cool winter day, but it was over 100 degrees.
