Thanks for the story. I was stationed at OLD MOD and was there that day. I served as an advisor with the DoS. I knew the soldiers KIA. We worked out in the gym the night before. This was a regular thing that we did there. They were a fun group. The MP that was KIA was in my unit. Her name was SPC Karen Clifton. She was a wonderful young soldier. I was not on duty that day, however my partner was and was on the scene with the Bradley at the moment that we lost Karen. We had one of our support teams respond to the site. The response team hit an I.E.D. The injured included SSG. Mann who’s vehicle was hit and sustained leg injuries as well as Chaplin Lee. It was a tragic day that we will never forget. God bless those brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice on 21 June 07.
