Home from a bumpy ride

Attack submarine Hartford and crew returned to Groton, Conn. on May 21, after a surface transit from Bahrain that took a month. Hartford was damaged on March 20 when it collided with the amphib New Orleans as both entered the Persian Gulf at night. Homecoming photos here, here and here show the quick fixes needed to reinforce the sail for its trip home. Should be some interesting sea stories from that one.
