Soldier in Iraq dies in non-combat incident

BAGHDAD — The U.S. military says an American soldier has died in a non-combat-related incident in a northern Iraqi province.
The military said in a statement released today that the soldier died Thursday in Ninevah province while conducting an operation.
It did not provide more details.
