BAKER COUNTY, Ga. — An active member of the Army National Guard has been arrested for a series of thefts and burglaries, which included stolen military equipment.

The Baker County Sheriff's Office and the Charlton County Sheriff's Office worked in conjunction with the Army National Guard to track down and arrest Alan Tanner Jr, 27, according to authorities.

Two similar firearm burglaries took place on November 1, according to deputies. Authorities say a series of tips helped lead officials to Tanner who was named as a possible suspect.

Deputies say they found several stolen pieces of military equipment at Tanner's home. According to a release, Tanner stole more than $150,000 in sensitive military equipment.

Tanner is being held at Baker County Detention Center on a $315,000 bond, according to the release.
