No date or home for the event has been announced. The card will be part of a military-friendly program sponsored by the UFC and Harley-Davidson that includes discounts on the fight league's Fight Pass network, trial memberships at UFC-branded gyms and other benefits for service members. The fight brand and the motorcycle maker announced a renewal of their partnership in a Thursday news release.
The last Fight for the Troops card, held in 2013 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, featured Tim Kennedy, a sergeant first class with the Texas National Guard, stopping Rafael Natal with a series of first-round punches to the delight of a camo-clad audience.
Former Marine Liz Carmouche also earned a win on the card, while Colton Smith was stopped by Michael Chiesa via submission. Smith, an active-duty sergeant first class, was cut from the UFC after a follow-up loss in 2014 but the soldier rebounded with three straight wins in 2015, including one in the national World Series of Fighting promotion.
