Marines grappled for two minutes prior to going through the course of fire to simulate firing under stress and fatigue, which can occur in combat. The marksmanship course refined Marines combat marksmanship skills and incorporated the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, which reinforces their warrior ethos. INDIAN OCEAN (June 9, 2015) Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Soldiers from the Japan Ground Self Defense Force conduct combat rubber raiding craft operations from the well deck of the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20). Green Bay is in the Indian Ocean participating in Talisman Sabre 2015. Talisman Sabre is a bilateral exercise intended to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting combined task force operations.
