The U.S.-led coalition in Iraq is assisting Iraqi security forces to cleanse the remaining pockets of ISIS fighters.
Following the liberation of Mosul and a rapid victory in Tal Afar, Iraqi forces along with the Shia dominated Popular Mobilization Forces are currently engaged in an operation to clear the town of Hawija, located just under 200 miles north of Baghdad.
According to U.S. officials in Baghdad, those operations are moving rapidly, with more than 100 villages cleared since the start of operations.
