Sgt. Kristen Emery was an Army medic with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg when she gave birth to her daughter in 2004. As a child, Emery underwent chemotherapy to fight Hodgkin's lymphoma; her daughter was born with chromosomal abnormalities. Emery wonders if her exposure growing up at Patrick Air Force Base in the early 1980s caused both her cancer and her daughter's health issues.
