COLUMBUS, Ohio — The 20 people selected for the 2018 class of the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame will be inducted at a public ceremony this week.

The Ohio Department of Veterans Services and Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame Foundation will hold the ceremony Thursday at Radiant Life Church in the Columbus suburb of Dublin. The class will be honored with medals by Chip Tansill, director of the state's Department of Veterans Services, and Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor.

The Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame was established in 1992 to recognize outstanding professional achievement, service to the community and selfless acts of veterans following their military service.

Charter members of the first class included the six Ohio military veterans who were elected president of the United States and the state’s Medal of Honor recipients.
