Army announces pair of 2-star general assignments

The Army announced two general officer assignments on Friday.

■ Maj. Gen. Stephen G. Fogarty will be the next commanding general of the Cyber Center of Excellence and Fort Gordon, Georgia. Fogarty most recently served as commanding general, U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

■ Maj. Gen. Lawarren V. Patterson, the current commanding general of the Cyber Center of Excellence and Fort Gordon, will become the deputy commanding general for operations/chief of staff for Installation Management Command, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas.
