HENDERSON, Nev. — The Navy says three sailors, including one Navy SEAL, were among the four people injured in a small plane crash in Nevada on Sunday.
Two of the people on the plane had critical burns, and the two others' injuries weren't life-threatening.
A Navy public affairs officer, Lt. Beth Teach, says the sailors with the Naval Special Warfare Command are based at Coronado, California, near San Diego. Teach did not have an update on their conditions.
No other information about the identities of the passengers was available.
The single-engine Piper PA-28 Cherokee crashed Sunday afternoon a few miles south of Henderson Executive Airport and caught fire.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.
