A few months ago we took a look at an early model Centurion Arms C4 rail.  Production models are now shipping, and are displayed at the Tango Down Booth (#27207) here at SHOT Show.   Multiple rail sizes are offered, and current production includes 7", 9", 10" and 12".  Upcoming models will include cutouts for front sight bases (FSB), which will give extended rail space to those diehards who refuse to give up a fixed front sight base and use a folder.

The rails we have laid our hands on are some of the nicest machined rails we have handled.  No burrs, tool mark chatter, dents, sharp edges, or over tumbling was evident.  These are machined from 6061 aluminum, and are hard coat anodized before the final laser engraving is done.  We tried out a few different rail attachments in the form of Vertical Fore Grips and optic mounts on various sides, and noted the 1913 spec rails have no uneven points.  There are QD points for sling use.  Installation of the rails is simple, and can be done by simply cutting two points (Delta ring and handguard cap), then screwing the two rail sections together over the barrel nut.  Its a very easy rail install, and the guys at Centurion Arms are getting us production models to work with for long term review.  So far, it looks like these rails are off to a good start.
