Magpul just announced the new PMAG M3 will ship to dealers November 1. They're also saying that the existing PMAG will join the Magpul MOE line at a lower price.
Figures this happens when I'm in the shop. Thankfully, we've already told you everything you need to know about the M3 except the price. And, now we can tell you that they will retail for $17.95/$14.95 window/non-window. The MOE PMAG will drop to $15.95/$12.95.
At SHOT Show 2007, the original PMAG was released to the public. Now, millions of magazines and over 5 years of proven combat service later, we take great pride in the performance of the PMAG and its current MREV variations. Although we have been working tirelessly on the new GEN M3 PMAG, the current PMAG will not be going away... The current PMAGs will stay in production as part of the MOE line, and now be known as the PMAG 30 AR/M4 GEN M2 MOE, 5.56x45 Magazine and the PMAG 30 AR/M4 Window GEN M2 MOE, 5.56x45 Magazine. Colored variants of both MOE magazines will also continue to be available. New official pricing will take effect immediately to reflect the change, with the MOE PMAG having a new MSRP of $12.95, and the MOE Window PMAG having a new MSRP of $15.95. The MOE magazines will begin shipping at the new pricing immediately, and will ship with the dust cover and in existing PMAG packaging until supplies are exhausted. After existing inventory is depleted, the MOE magazines will ship in new MOE packaging, will no longer include dust covers, and will continue to be priced at $12.95 and $15.95, respectively. The combat-proven PMAG at the new pricing is now an even greater value. That brings us to our new offering, the PMAG 30 AR/M4 GEN M3, 5.56x45. We have been hard at work since the original announcement of this product, testing, tweaking, and improving for most of the year, and we are pleased to announce that we will begin shipping the PMAG 30 GEN M3 on 1 Nov, 2012. Initial shipments will only be available in black/non-windowed, with black w/window, available soon. The GEN M3 PMAG is from the PMAG lineage that you already know, but refined and battle-hardened by over 5 years of combat experience. The list of improvements is long, but you can learn more about the GEN M3 development and improvements here. The PMAG 30 AR/M4 GEN M3, 5.56x45, will be priced at an MSRP of $14.95, with the Window GEN M3 priced at an MSRP of $17.95. You may recognize these prices, as Magpul intends to continue our commitment to the consumer and our tradition of keeping our prices low by pricing the GEN M3 at the price you previously paid for the original PMAGs. All GEN M3 magazines will ship with dust covers. We will be shipping early enough that the GEN M3 should be ready for purchase through distribution and through selected retailers on the actual release date of 1 Nov, 2012.
