Functionality has been improved on the new 172BKF Tomahawk by going with differentially heat treated forged 4140 steel, allowing for different hardness ratings of the head and pry bar and giving a slight flex to the textured G10 handles.

The handle flex should allow users to swing this thing with even more authority and reduce the jarring impact. Forging also gave Benchmade the ability to slightly turn up the angle and contour to the edges of the pry bar's tines. The adjustment should give the pry bar a little extra bite and leverage.

Benchmade's topping this one off with a new injection molded sheath with slots and holes for just about every conceivable mounting variation. MSRP $380.
