Notably, the Mk47 Mutant uses a larger, AR-10-style bolt carrier group and direct impingement system. It also uses the common and easily procured AK-47 pattern magazine and is designed to have a lot more energy in the operating cycle for better reliability.

During full-auto test firing, the rifle had the smooth recoil impulse to be expected from any direct impingement operating system, despite firing the punchier 7.62x39mm cartridge.

Unfortunately, the Mk47 does not have a bolt hold open capability, though CMMG is looking into solutions for this.

The Mk47 is available from  $1,499.95 to $1,849.95.
