Glock's new Modular Optic System is the company's factory mounting system for mini red dot sights. The first pistols to have this option are Glock's long-slide variant pistols in 9mm, 40 S&W, .45 ACP and the newly released 10mm long-slide Glock, the G40.
Each MOS pistol comes with a package of four different mounting plates, allowing users to fit all the popular mini red dot sights on the market, including Trijicon, Leupold, Docter Optics, L3/Insight, Meopta, etc. Glock's engineers noted that the Aimpoint Micro family is too large for the MOS mounting standards.
Users also will be able to install a flush plate to the MOS mounting location.
The Modular Optic Systems Glocks are shipping to distributors now, with an MSRP of $840 and minimum advertised price of $699.
