Beyond Clothing gave us a look at the 2015 lineup today. All of the clothes we saw are in the final stages of prototyping or entering into production in preparation for fall 2015 release. Pricing was not available.

First, we saw the Element Shirt and Pant (right). These are highly technical uniform items that can be used in any environment but are optimized for over-the-beach and general maritime use thanks to a novel water drainage system. Instead of using grommets to allow water to escape the clothing's pockets, Beyond uses heavy-duty mesh strategically placed to aid rapid drainage while reducing the signature of the wearer by directing streaming water down the uniform instead of outward.

The Element is made from a quick-drying, four-way stretch woven nylon, with a heavier, more durable fabric weight on the arms and shoulders and a lighter fabric on the back and chest. Other features include zippered ventilation ports on arms and thighs, reinforced elbow and knee pad pockets, integrated waist adjustment, suspender points, two bicep pockets, four thigh pockets, two hand pockets and no back pockets.

The zippered vents are carefully placed to avoid chaffing, and the pad pockets are sized to fit common elbow and knee pads. The knees are reinforced with an extra layer of two-way Cordura stretch fabric under a burly SuperFabric face that is designed to take the abuse of kneeling on non-skid surfaces commonly found on maritime vessels. The pants have a vertical knee adjustment that allows the gathering of fabric using a bungie and slide-lock fastener. This keeps the fabric around the knees gathered and keeps the knee pads in position when taking a knee. The Element Suite will come in camouflage, tan and gray.

Next, we looked at the Stretch Alpha Jacket, left. It's a first-first-of-its-kind insulated jacket combining a brand-new stretching insulation from Polartec (called Stretch Alpha) with a soft-shell outer fabric and a fleecy inner face fabric. The jacket feels like the most comfortable and broken-in hooded sweatshirt you've ever owned, but is as warm as a light winter jacket. Further, the 80-gram insulation breathes, so you can get athletic without having to stop and remove layers to regulate your temperature.

Lochi Jacket

Named after the Viking god of deception, the Lochi Jacket is a light belay jacket that is fully reversible. It's a great option when you need to change up your appearance in a hurry. The jacket has pockets on both sides, so you don't give up any storage and might even use the interior pockets for extra storage.

Lastly, we saw the Cache Arctic Jacket and Pants, below. The two puffy pieces are suited for extreme cold weather and feature a new hybrid insulation that combines Polartec Primaloft synthetic insulation with natural down insulation. The pair work together to speed drying times, keeping the wearer warm even if the insulation gets wet and reducing the bulk and weight associated with synthetic insulation. This set is shown in Kryptek's Yeti camouflage pattern.
