This new AC-550 (model AC-550-WSB6-B) is a full-sized pocket-carry tactical knife with a closed length of five inches. Its distinguishing characteristic within the AC-550 lineup is the handle, which is comprised of both black G10 multi-layer composite and White Smooth Bone for an elegant look, durability, and optimal balance.
As with all Bear OPS Bold Action models, the AC-550-WSB6-B utilizes a simple pushbutton deployment system that allows the blade to quickly snap into its open and locked position. An integrated safety slide can be manually engaged when the blade is closed, making the knife safe to carry anywhere. A pocket clip provides security and easy access for tip-up carry.
The AC-550-WSB6-B features a black Sandvik 14C28N blade. The unique molecular composition of this martensitic stainless chromium steel material provides extreme durability, corrosion-resistance, and excellent edge stability to maintain sharpness.
