I'm a huge sucker when it comes to buying water bottles. I can't go into an outdoors store without coming home with a new Klean Kanteen or Nalgene. Now this note from Liberty Bottleworks isn't helping my bottle-buying compulsion.
The Yakima, Wash., company is offering free shipping June 8-18. Just use the code "freedom."
Plus, during that time, $8 from every bottle sold will be donated to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides scholarship grants, education and counseling to the surviving children of fallen special ops personnel, as well as financial assistance to wounded soldiers and their families.
"We want to send a loud 'thank you' to these very quiet soldiers who rarely get recognition for the necessary work they do," Liberty co-founder Ryan Clark said in a press release.
The 2-year-old company's metal bottles are made in the U.S.A. and BPA-free. They say:
"All bottles are made from 100% recycled aluminum and are BPA-free inside and out and feature the company's patent-pending quarter-turn cap that clicks to let users know it's closed. Deep drawn construction -- the same method used to manufacture Hellfire missiles -- keeps bottles lightweight and resists dents. A flexible food-grade liner inside each bottle keeps beverages tasting like they should and prevent bacteria from gaining a foothold."
Get the camo bottles here for $19-$20.
Drink up, it's hot out.
