Looking for a second chance to score a 2012 Marine Corps Marathon bib?
Starting June 20, registered runners can transfer their bib through the MCM Transfer Program. Runners have until Aug. 31 to complete a transfer form on the marathon website.
"Completion of this form initiates the transfer process in which the registered runner is emailed a unique code, link and password to send to a runner of their choice, who will gain access to the 37th MCM," the website says.
The newly-registered runner must pay the $30 transfer fee by Sept. 7 to complete the process. Any other monetary transactions are to be settled between transferring runners, and each entry can only be transferred once.
Runner must find their own transfer partner. The site suggests finding one on the MCM Facebook page or message board.
Many of the race's 101 charity partners also have spaces left -- click here for more information.
The event -- which takes place Oct. 28 -- sold out March 7 in 2 hours and 41 minutes.
