An A-list lineup will take part in a military tribute show Oct. 22 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, hosted and co-produced by Hollywood's highest-paid star.

Dwayne Johnson leads an all-star roster of entertainers set for "Rock the Troops," which will air on Spike TV on a December date yet to be announced. Other performers include Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Terry Crews and retired Marine Rob Riggle, with music from Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nick Jonas, Flo Rida and Tenacious D, featuring Black and partner Kyle Gass.

"My respect for our troops is boundless," Johnson said in a news release, adding that his goal "was to create an event that honors our troops and their families in epic fashion."

Seven Bucks Productions, which was co-founded by Johnson, is one of the production houses behind the event. It's also behind the upcoming "Baywatch" movie reboot, starring Johnson, and the upcoming "Jumanji" reboot, starring Johnson, Hart and Black.

Johnson announced "Rock the Troops" during his appearance on a Spike TV awards show last year, promising "the single greatest, most electrifying military entertainment show the world has ever seen":
