One brigade just became the first armored unit to undergo a new Transformation in Contact modernization effort. Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 211, based in Yuma, Arizona, recently deployed to Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan. The Army identified the first unit to receive the Future Long Range Assault Aircraft, or MV-75. Army Sgt. Brian Lieberman intervened during an active shooter environment, shielding an injured civilian from gunfire. 1st Lt. Marciano Parisano was off base on a liberty pass in Comayagua, Honduras, at the time of his death, officials said. Soldiers with the division will help the Army determine how to modernize and evolve formations to prepare for real-world deployments.
