A U.S. Air Force F-16C fighter crashed in a field in northwestern South Korea last year after the jet partially lost power, an investigation found.
An F-16 assigned to Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, crashed around 11:50 a.m. local time on Tuesday.
The Air Force Reserve's 301st Fighter Wing will receive the component's first two F-35A Lightning II fighters this summer.
The pilot in Wednesday's F-16 crash off the coast of South Korea is in "good condition," 7th Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. David Iverson said Thursday.
